Service Cat Skills 2 - Safety Tasks and Intermediate Assistance Skills

Service Cat Course 2 builds on the foundations from Course 1 to make service skills safer, clearer and more reliable in everyday life. This course focuses on strengthening existing behaviours so they hold up under distance, distraction and environmental change. You’ll work on improving reliability through foundation strengthening, duration and distance, while also introducing safety focused skills such as door bolting prevention, emergency recall, emergency return to handler and voluntary check ins. The course further develops alert behaviours across environments and refines retrieval skills for dropped objects and simple task chains. This course is ideal if you want your cat’s skills to feel more dependable day to day, with a stronger focus on safety, reliability and consent as you move toward more advanced service work.
